Sabor Fusion Shanghai is the first high-end International Gastronomy Convention held in Shanghai, taking place at the Shanghai International Convention Center on June 14 and 15 with Spain as guest country.



Sabor Fusion Shanghai is organized by Shanghai Hande Cultural Communications Co.,Ltd, led by the internationally recognized restaurateur Maria Li Bao and supported by Chinese cuisine Exchange Association (with more than 700,000 local chefs as subscribers) with the aim of creating a bridge between both "Oriental" and Western culinary experts by working together in "the discovery of a joint culinary progress without borders". We will have the participation of a representative leader in the F&B scene of each country as honorary presidents: 


  • Representing Spain, present Deputy Director for International Relations at the daily newspaper El Mundo, recognized gastronomy expert and wine critic under the pseudonym Fernando Point, Victor de la Serna.


  • Representing China; Clinton Zhu, Executive Chairman of Chinese Elite Culinary Federation and President of China International Culinary Skill Centre.


Likewise, Sabor Fusion Ambassador Chefs: 


  • Diego Guerrero, International olive oil Spanish Ambassador, Michelin-starred chef with three Michelin stars in his career, the last one obtained in his new and personal project “DSTAgE”, awarded additionally with many other prizes, the last one Best Chef and Best Restaurant.


  • Yayun Li, Chinese Master-chef, President of the International Exchange Association of renowned Chinese Cuisine Chefs. Chairman of the China Famous Chef Federation and International Judge of World Chef Association


  • Pol Garcia, head chef of ´El Patio Spanish Restaurant´ and founder of Foodlab and creator of POP SECRET as representative of the International Chefs in China.


The Conference will be attended Michelin starred chefs like Sergi Arola, Ivan Muñoz, Mario Sandoval, Paco Perez and Dani García. Further activities carried out by the convention will include show cooking, seminars, conferences and a series of professional courses and workshops of both, the hotel and catering sector and design, business, entrepreneurship or trade as well as having exhibitions, tasting or competitions. 



An exclusive platform working for the public disclosure of the most innovative Western and Chinese avant-garde cuisine. Over a two days program, Sabor Fusion Shanghai aims to be "one of the major platforms for cultural and gastronomic exchange by showcasing new trends in the avant-garde and creative kitchen. This is also to establish a dialogue between both Oriental and Western culinary experts as they work together for the first time through the discovery of a joint culinary progress without borders. 



Sabor Fusion Shanghai will not only be limited to the kitchen, but also to all areas of the F&B sector. The complex will be a learning center with an expected of more than 100 participant chefs, 200 exhibition companies and between 8,000 and 10,000 attendees, Sabor Fusion Shanghai is a network opportunity for chefs, producers, distributors and other F&B professionals to create synergies in China and abroad.
