House Films & Burger King Launch BKTV
These days, it seems as if fast food dining is elevating itself to a whole new level... and not the kind that involves mediocre "low-cal" options being added to the standard menu.
On the forefront of changing this "fast food environment" in China is Burger King, who is teaming up with Shanghai-based production company House Films to create BK's very own in-store web-based TV network, aptly titled BKTV.
The project will feature original BK branded content programs (as well as customer generated films and animations) to give diners something enjoyable to watch while chomping on those much loved burger and fries combos. It looks like now, the Whopper isn't the only thing that BK will have to boast about.
Trying to maintain its reputation as a more "upscale" fast food joint around China, through this collaboration, BK is offering its customers an engaging and informative TV station available to watch, of course, in all BK restaurants.
So now it's time to grab some fries, sit down, and enjoy your quickly-prepared meal while watching some (let's hope) entertaining television.
Your move, Ronald McDonald.
