SPAM

I warned earlier that I might from time to time use this space to call attention to companies using spam as a marketing tool. Dragon Club's in the spotlight now having been a thorn in my side with their incoherent chinglish SMS messages sent at ridiculous hours of the night for as long as I can remember. Yesterday's "Tonight big parties in city of couse after that DRAGON" was typical, but then it was followed by "Sorry everyone, the previous message was mis-sent.DRAGON". That's a bit like putting your car in reverse and backing up to see if the cat you just ran over is okay.

In our previous poll surveying attitudes about SMS spam, 74 of 195 people responding said they would "boycott companies that spam me". That gives me hope. Unfortunately it only takes a tiny percentage of people who reply "No big deal. Sometimes I get useful information" (10%) to keep the spammer in business.

For the record, I haven't been to Dragon Club in nearly 4 years. Who do you get your most annoying spam from, and what, if anything have you done about it?
