bbmiLo: I won't say its the worst thai food in shanghai, but it definitely struggles to score average. Now fact in the price tag and the 10% service charge, you have the worst bang for the buck Thai restaurant in Shanghai. The voucher gets you buy 1 get 1 free on house wine, good luck with the choices, cuz you only have 1 choice, LOL.
yanna_cao: overall is average.
yanna_cao: the enviroment is great but service is poor. Maybe because it was too busy at luch time? The service quality is not woth the 10% extra service charge. Pad Thai is yummy which I will highly recommend it to my friends while other foods are just ok, not too bad not too good. There are many Thai restaurants in Shanghai and this one overall is at average level.May come back for another 50%off voucher, otherwise will not visit again.
JAGRUSS: Dear Simply Thai, I know it had to happen one day, and that day came today: We will part ways because ever-so-often in Shanghai, you disappointed me. And i am one hard to console guy. Two words for you: Lunch Set. Or rather why you cancelled the executive lunch? (88 Rmb). XTD,12:30h, i am hungry and get a seat assigned on 2nd floor. Lunch-Menu, check, Choice: UNcheck!!!! What's left are 6 mains to choose from-thank-you-very-much for saving my time not to decide on my appetizers and desert. 68RMB also gives you no drink, but that's ok. 20min later (the restaurant was NOT full) a tray arrives. two crispy (but slightly oil flavored) spring-rolls with sweet sauce, one very oily side vegetable dish (hank god very small portion), one egg tomato soup with mystery meat ball( err..really?), one green curry chicken dish (yay I thought), some rice and a minibowl of coconut milk with 2 pieces of sad floating banana inside). No Simply Thai, this is not what we agreed on when I became a regular lunch friend of yours. Unless you WANTED to create Shanghais most watery curry. Then..yes. And you have the guts to charge 10% on top of this sub-par meal? Pei Pei Pei. Into your corner and think how you treated me. We are done.
gongxihexi11: Good restaurant, good service!
gilad79: Although the voucher gives you one free executive lunch, the IFC branch *DOESN'T HAVE* executive lunches. I've went there specifically for the set lunch at the end of April and found it out the hard way. they claimed that because they just opened, they don't have this option yet. Today (middle of June) I call ahead to make sure and the STILL don't have the executive lunch. whats the point of the voucher if you can't use it? Very disappointing, both for Simply Thai and Enjoy
[ENJOY]: Due to unforeseen delays, the new IFC branch of Simply Thai is not yet able to offer the lunch set. However, the 50% off voucher is usable at this location. thelightfantastic: This is not the most cost effective Thai food in shanghai but it is reasonably reliable. The original on dongping will always be my fave
CarlosPatatas: Overpriced but average food. Drinks prices outrageous. Service poor.
Ivannatang: Good
bobozero: I went to the one in XTD, and food was good. Took a client from Canada there and they loved it. I personally just like that their menu is so extensive and they have a nice ambiance while prices are reasonable. Maybe not as authentic as Thai House but just as yummy I think.
myjunelee: Papaya salad wasn't tasty. Satay was deep fried instead of BBQ. Mix platter was tasteless and sauce was way off authentic Thai food. Needs much improvement to attract return customers.
cmou5775: easy thai foodThis is a popular Thai restaurant in Shanghai with numerous locations in Puxi and now 1 in Pudong. The food is good, but not spectacular. In my opinion, the food is too Westernized, but some people like that, so whatever suits you. The locations are all clean and the wait staff usually friendly and helpful. Occasionally, I've had a slow or rude waitress/waiter, but that is more unusual than likely.
