Y's Table

Sure, it may not boast the magnificent views of its neighbours higher up in the stratosphere, but if you're looking for a view, take the elevator up to the SWFC Observatory before dinner. When you're done with the view, enjoy an exquisite dining experience down in the basement at Y's Table.
A waiter greats you on arrival and presents the dining options available throughout the floor - Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean or just hang out in the lounge and enjoy the snacks. The interior is modern, stylish and relaxed. The clientele is a mix of hip young Shanghainese, business travelers and Expats. The reason is clear - the food is the common denominator!
I found a cozy seat in the Italian section and tried the six-dish "East meets West" menu (288 RMB). This is a great choice if you want to sample dishes from each of the different kitchens, all of which focus on their own domestic specialties rather than buying into the ‘fusion' concept. Ingredients are carefully selected with most of the specialties being imported. The sashimi was the best I have ever eaten, the duck so tender it melted in my mouth and the mixed grilled meat/seafood was to die for. It is the real deal all the way and the wine and drink list does not want. If the set menu is not for you, main dishes are priced anywhere from 50 RMB to 400 RMB.
Y's Table is open for lunch 11am - 3pm and for dinner 5pm - 11pm while the bar closes at midnight. You can also purchase any of the specialties offered in the restaurants from the retail section. Nice idea!
The bottom line: Y's is a place you will come back to again and again and again!
