This stylish and laid-back restaurant located inside The Loft serves tasty Mediterranean food with a strong Spanish influence. The head chef is Spanish and keeps a close eye on every detail to ensure that everything coming out of his kitchen has a true Mediterranean feel, touch and taste.
The weather was nice on our visit and we chose to sit outside. The terrace is nicely arranged with torches and sofas, perfect for relaxing evenings with friends over wine and tapas. The wine list is decent in selection and price with a wide range of offerings from eight countries and prices that range from 98 to 999RMB. I think I've found a new favorite spot to hang out in the coming summer evenings.

Since we had not had a good Mediterranean meal in months, a full-on gourmandizing feast was in order. We started with the Foie grass caprice with baked pear (68RMB) and a Steak tartare tapa (58RMB), followed by the Spanish bull's tail with wine sauce and parmesan cheese cracker (58RMB), Crushed eggs with potato, cheese and chorizo (78RMB), and a delicious Smoked fresh salmon surprise (52RMB). No disappointments to report - quite the opposite! Next up, two soups, a Seafood cream chef's secret recipe (52RMB) and a Spinach cream with bacon and prawns (48RMB). Both were excellent. The Baked lamb ribs and potato cake (148RMB) and the Baked cod fish with garlic mousseline (168RMB) were both nicely prepared, particularly the lamb, which was done in a wonderful rosemary wine sauce. We ended our meal with a white chocolate mousse with pistachio nuts (48RMB) and espresso - a nice finish to a superb meal.

I haven't been on a Sunday yet, but they do a Spanish brunch with a wide selection of tapas, montadios, Spanish paella and black rice together with free flow of sangria, red, white and sparkling wine for 250RMB. Look for this to be a popular Sunday brunch spot now that the fine weather is here.

The Bottom Line: Good Mediterranean/Spanish food and if you don't want a full meal, just enjoy the tapas and wine on the cozy terrace.
