Senior Architect
Ben Wood StudioShanghai is a professional architectural design company. We provide master planning, urban design, architectural, and interior design services throughout China and internationally. Our flexibility in designing various project typologies stretches to various project sizes as well. The work of our company include numerous large scale projects ranging from a two block commercial and retail complex in Xintiandi, Shanghai, another similar project in Hangzhou Xihutiandi, master plan and residential design for the over 230,000 sqm Shanghai Zhujiaojiao Watertown, and master plan for Shanghai historical district Wai Tan Yuan. Smaller projects are also play a large role in StudioShanghai with exciting work such as a 3,000 sqm performing art center for Shanghai American School, Jiang Su Road private residential building, a bar in Xintiandi and interior design for the sales center of Zhujiajiao Villa. No matter what the project is, StudioShanghai strives to explore new relationships between form and function, materials, and hopefully offer the user a fresh new way to experience space.
Currently, we are looking for dynamic dedicative persons to join our fast growing office in Xintiandi, who will play an important roll in the following architect positions:
These architect positions provide opportunities to participate in all project phases to deliver quality design and drawings, and to manage entire project team. You will participate in a collaborative work environment to develop strong design concepts and schematics; develop 3-D modeling and drawings.
-Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture
-Good command both in Chinese and English.
-Min.8 years experience with outstanding design flair
-Min. 3~5 years experience in project management
-Good knowledge in planning and building codes. Registered Architect is a plus.
-Good knowledge in interior space planning and local interior decorating materials.
-Independent working experience in all phases of design, from preliminary concept design to final drawings and construction.
-Creative design and freehand drawing skill.
-Good command in AutoCAD R14 or 2000, 3Drendering and Adobe Photoshop.
-Experience in leading design in team environment, and in client interaction.
-Experience in class-A Design Institute, or international design/engineering companies is preferable.
-Overseas education and work experience is a plus
-Prospective candidate should submit samples of design work for qualification.
