Allied Brands is looking for a passionate and motivated leader who is ready to help manage a dynamic Expo team at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Allied Brands is an Australian publicly listed company supplying cookies, coffee, and ice cream through two Points of Sale associated with the Australian Pavilion. The successful applicant will be working closely with the General Manager to ensure a successful Allied Brands presence at the Shanghai World Expo.

Duration

The contract is for approximately 7 months beginning in May 2010 and concluding in early November, this work is on a full time basis including possible weekend and evening work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise other regular employees during a major portion of the employee’s work time; duties include assigning, reviewing and evaluating work.
• Account for cash received from sales and monitors cash handling procedures. • Periodically inspects food service and food preparation areas to ensure proper health and sanitation standards are maintained. 
• Order stock, supplies and food items for daily operation; checks and signs invoices.
• Ensure retail operation is properly closed at night.
• Serve and supervises the serving of prepared food & beverages. 
• Supervise the set-up and serving of special functions.

Requirements

• Fluent English (as well as Mandarin)
• Friendly, enthusiastic and energetic! 
• Management skills
• Great organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Effective time management skills
• Experience in the food & beverage industry preferred
