Kartel is one of the best local bars in the Xuhui area. The bar opens daily at 6 pm and closes at 2 AM. The bar is a well-designed French bar and has a lounge on the magnificent roof with one of the best views in the city. The guy who started this bar with Dr. Wine and then decided to start at his own place. Kartel has a warm feeling. With wooden floors, bare bricks, and long communal tables, the place looks stunning. Wine is the main focus, although there is an extensive selection of French dishes. Do not get the wrong idea about the sketched elevator. However, the place is really nice. Kartel is a good place to hang out with colleagues and friends.
