Epicerie & Caviste 62 Le Bec

Epicerie & Caviste 62 is Nicolas le Bec’s wine shop/café /bar in Xinhua Lu. The wine selection is, you guessed it, mostly a French mix of established and independent labels and even some good apple and pear juices. Bottle prices start at just under RMB 300 with discounts at retail stores. If you are looking for something reasonable, like the first growth in Bordeaux, you will have a secluded cellar at the rear, away from the mob. Not surprisingly, the food on offer is excellent. There are classic sandwiches like Croque Monsieur, or the chance to let them run down the street to Villa le Bec and get a lamb shank confit or Penne pasta with black truffles.
