Nice To Meet You is the second bookstore in the chain called Nice To Meet You, which is affiliated with real estate developer Panyu Lu Xingfu Li. The bookstore is on the ground floor of the 96-year-old Blackstone Apartments. The place feels like a maze: a French-style arch with mosaic titles opens to narrower corridors and leads to separate chambers that divide the books into different sections. They have a wide selection of books on Chinese literature, history, design, and cuisine, as well as a unique catalog of music books, sheet music, and many albums. The English-language books are a selection from the Penguin and Macmillan Collectors Library, some popular works of fiction, and works of art and architecture. Most of the books here are free to browse. Or shop and relax at the Drops Café next door.
